Would we buy again?

YES — AT FULL PRICE

Field Notes is a subscription cult and it's completely understandable. The Original Kraft is the one everyone owns five of. The paper takes ink well, the cover is stitched, the book lies relatively flat.

This is the 'always in a jacket' notebook. We've been through hundreds of them. They end up archived in boxes — we've never thrown one away, which says more than a star rating can.

Buy a 3-pack. Use them fast. The subscription's worth it if you fill one a month.

What worked

  • Kraft cover survives rain + coffee spills gracefully

What didn't
  • Only 48 pages each — fast burners
  • Graph grid on some models is slightly warm — can ghost through with wet inks
