Would we buy again?

YES — ON SALE

The Pocket 4 is the first year where the case for 'take this instead of a phone' becomes real. The sensor matches a modern flagship phone for stills, and the gimbal does something no phone can: walk-and-film without a $200 accessory.

Kenji shot the entire Mexico trip on this. The review footage looks like a Peter McKinnon b-roll. For a vlogger / travel content creator / anyone making a short documentary: this is the pocket tool.

Not a replacement for a real camera. Is a replacement for carrying a gimbal rig.

What worked

  • 3-axis gimbal — walk-and-film footage is butter
  • The new touch screen is a real operator screen
What didn't
  • Battery still lives behind the screen — a swap requires unfolding
